Student Suffers Severe Burn Injuries

There was no classes at the Orange County College when firefighters were called to the school early the other morning after receiving reports of smoke in the third floor of a building. They discovered a fire burning in an air conditioning unit and had it under control minutes later.

In addition, they found a 21-year old student with serious injuries, severe second and third-degree burns over his entire body. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
